Comment:
"The crime prevention initiative was mooted by proactive members of the USJ Residents Association (USJRA) and various neighbourhood watch groups in Subang Jaya as a way of sharing information with residents on crime incidents in their township."

Comment:
"The crime statistics are very informative. But in addition to that, it would be very useful to perhaps have a crime trend chart, i.e. graph that charts the trend week-to-week. Then at a glance, one can see whether the trend is up or down, and also see where the spikes are. Good for analysis. Thanks."

Comment: "I find that the sms sent out, is a merely a summary report of the crimes commited during the week. Thus it does not help to curb crimes. What would be more helpful would be if sms alerts were sent out, as soon as a report is made, so that residents can help keep a lookout for the crime suspects. Perhaps each member could contribute RM1 a month for example, to employ a clerk to sent out these alert sms immediately after a crime has been reported.

Comment: "The website is great especially the crime reports. Amazing to see cars stolen frequently in USJ. Perhaps you can also add some notes on how these cars are stolen so that preventive measures can be taken by residents in SJ/USJ. ....... Perhaps you should also consider putting up prominent signs around SJ/USJ to indicate that the entire area is watched by SJAlert as well.
Keep up the good work, This SJAlert initiative is a blessing to us all."

Comment: "Hi, I am please that this SMS service is successfully organized. This service help the resident in SJ/USJ/PH area to keep track on crime happed in the neighbourhood. I put this comments as other category because I just want to give some suggestions. I think that if there is a forum section in this website will be good for members to have discussion about the crime here. Beside that, this SMS service beside of sending crime report to the members but also send announcement about event or community activities in SJ/USJ/PH area to members so that they can participate it. Thanks."

Comment: It is a great initiative as it benefits residents as well as the police."
The service issues alerts via SMS to registered subscribers on crimes, emergencies, disruption of services and community events in Subang Jaya, USJ and Putra Heights.
Musa said the service would not overshadow the police’s Rakan Cop but would complement it
