SJ Alert SMS System
(Mobile Phone SMS Service)

 
     
 

Welcome to the Official Website for SJ Alert SMS System, a free Community Service made available to all Residents of Subang Jaya, UEP Subang Jaya (USJ), Putra Heights and Bandar Sunway in Selangor, Malaysia.

This service will alert you on your Mobile Phone of Crime and other Emergencies, Utility Disruptions and Community Events (this may also include your localised Precinct Neighbourhood Events). In addition subscribers will also receive Crime Reports direct from the Police.

However, since this service is provided Free and is run by a 100% Non-Profit Organisation, subscribers will also be receiving SMS Promotional Messages from time to time from various sponsors of this program.

 
     
 

Our special thanks and appreciation
To the Ketua Polis Negara, IGP Tan Sri Musa Bin Dato' Hj. Hassan for graciously agreeing to officially launching SJ Alert on 1st October 2006 at Subang Parade. His encouragement and approval with these kind words: "We welcome such a move and the SMS service launched today and the first of its kind ever organized by a community as a crime-prevention initiative must be applauded.’’

To the former Ketua Polis of Selangor, SAC I Tan Sri Hj. Ismail bin Omar (now Timbalan Ketua Polis Negara) for his show of full support for SJ Alert during the launch of the Balik Kampung - Rumah Selamat Campaign jointly organised by SJ Alert and the Polis on 11th February 2007, with these inspiring words, "This is the best SMS service in the whole of Malaysia if not the world, it is a free service so more residents should join SJ Alert."

To the former Ketua Polis of Selangor, SAC I Dato' Yahya bin Udin (now retired) for his letter of appreciation (Surat Penghargaan) to Christopher Ng, Melvin Lee and TH Teoh, members of the SJ Alert Committee for exceptional contribution toward the prevention of Crime in Subang Jaya, USJ, Putra Heights and Bandar Sunway.

To the former OCPD of Subang Jaya, SAC II Datuk Muhammad Fuad Bin Talib (now retired) for his constant vote of confidence and guidance from the inception of this project in August 2006.

To the Former OCS of Balai Polis SS17, C/I Tuan Md Yusof Jahaya,  the Former OCS of Balai Polis USJ8, ASP Tuan Shanmugam Murugan, the OCS Balai Polis Putra Heights, C/I Tuan Foo Teik Fong and the OCS Balai Polis Bandar Sunway, C/I Tuan Supari Haji Muhammad for their kind support and assistance.
