SJ Alert was
launched on 01/10/2006, it was also the date when we officially
started this website
www.sjalert.com.my .
On the front page of
our website, it is stated :
These
services will alert you on your Mobile Phone, your Personal
Email,
Tweets and at our
Forum
of Crime, Emergencies, Utility Disruptions and Community Events
(this may also include your localised Neighbourhood Precinct's
Events). Useful information about our Community will also be
made available through our EMS Service,
Tweets and at our
Forum.
In addition
subscribers may also receive Crime Reports direct from
participating Police Stations in the Subang Jaya area.
As these are all
free services, provided by
a 100% Non-Profit Organisation, subscribers to our Services
will also receive from time to time Promotional SMS or
Email Messages from various sponsors of this program.
The terms and
conditions for usage of the SJ Alert Services are also
stated clearly on our hardcopy registration and also at our
website
http://www.sjalert.com.my/disclaimer.htm
SJ Alert SMS
was originally started to help stem the rising crime rate in
Subang Jaya, however, our involvement in the Neighbourhood Watch
Groups since 1999 has taught us that there are other equally
important aspect of Community living besides Crime and it's
prevention. Which is why we have put in, early on, the parts
that are not Crime related.
In order to help you
understand how we work, we should like to reveal the various
guidelines that we have in the sending out of the various types
of SJ Alert messages.
